Virginia, also known as Spotsylvania Courthouse,
features an unassuming community located ten miles
southwest of
Fredericksburg. Spotsylvania residents enjoy a

shares a border with the mighty

This unincorporated
community, population 3,833, serves as
Spotsylvania County’s seat and center of commerce.
Spotsylvania County's population of 90,395 at the time
of the
2000 Census was estimated to have increased in 2005
by 28.9% to 116,549, ranking it among the nation’s
fastest growing counties. Established in 1721,
Spotsylvania County is also home to the community of
Fredericksburg.
With a population
exceeding 19,000, Fredericksburg remains the largest
city in Spotsylvania County.
Fredericksburg boasts more than 200 years of
history, highlighted with a wealth of battlefield sites,
parks and museums. These include Chancellor
Battlefield,
